S.T.A.R.S Domiciliary Care was founded in 2012 and is committed to supporting vulnerable adults so that they can continue their lives with dignity and independence and be participating members of their own communities.

Our care pathway provides S.T.A.R.S – Support, Tenancy, Advocacy, Response/Rehabilitation/Recovery, Services.

The philosophy of the team is to promote dignity, independence, choice, communication, equality, empowerment and individualism for Individuals.

The aim of our care staff is to actively help Individuals to lead fulfilling lives, recognising and catering for their individual abilities and wishes.

Staff will take an interest in things that Individuals have done in the past and discuss current interests, particularly those that they wish to retain. They will assist Individuals to continue to use their skills and follow their interests if they so wish and facilitate a varied range of new skills and interests for Individuals to pursue if desired.

Individuals will be involved in the devising of their Care Plan, and if they are unable to communicate effectively a family member, friend or external advocate will work on their behalf.

Staff will endeavour at all times to create a stimulating environment and to focus on maximising Individuals potential. They will attend to the complete needs of the individual person irrespective of how the Individual’s disabilities. All Individuals irrespective of race, gender, culture or health state are equal and unique human beings and will be offered help and services according to their own unique needs.
